The Kyrgyzstan national football team has expressed a desire to hold a friendly match with the Russian team in Bishkek. This was reported by Azat Murzashev, the manager of the national teams of the Kyrgyz Football Union, in an interview with Sport24.

“We are open to proposals for a match with Russia. At the moment, no one has contacted us regarding organizing games. Nevertheless, we could play against Russia this year. June would be a suitable time, and we would prefer to hold the match at our home stadium in Bishkek,” he noted.

It is worth recalling that in February 2022, the Russian national team, including the youth team, was suspended from participating in tournaments under the auspices of the International Federation of Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). As a result, Russian clubs lost the opportunity to compete in tournaments such as the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. Currently, the Russian team can only hold friendly matches.
