Adriano threatened the scammer who deceived his mother
An emotional post on social media was published by former Brazil national team forward Adriano, who became a victim of fraud involving his mother. An unknown criminal, posing as the footballer, convinced the woman to transfer over 15,000 Brazilian reais to a foreign bank account.
In his video address, Adriano directly urged the perpetrator to return the stolen money. He did not hold back his emotions and said: "You scoundrel, you better return everything back, or I will find you. You will see how the devil comes down to earth." The footballer gave the fraudster 24 hours to return the funds.
The athlete noted that his phone number remained unchanged, which the scammer took advantage of. Adriano emphasized that any attempts to harm his family would receive a harsh response: "My mom transferred money to a person who pretended to be me. You don’t treat mothers and family like that," he added.
Known as The Emperor, Adriano played for clubs such as Inter, Fiorentina, Roma, Parma, as well as Brazilian teams Flamengo, São Paulo, and Corinthians. He scored 27 goals for the Brazil national team.
After retiring from football, the athlete returned to his hometown of Vila Cruzeiro in Rio de Janeiro, which he considers his true home and a place where he feels connected to his roots.
