Conor McGregor May Return to UFC in 2026
It is possible that Conor McGregor, the famous Irish fighter, will return to the UFC ring in 2026. This will be nearly five years after he sustained a serious leg injury in a fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. McGregor has expressed hope to participate in a summer UFC event that will take place at the White House in connection with the 250th anniversary of American independence; however, his participation has not yet been officially confirmed.
The event organizers are facing a number of difficulties: the number of VIP guests will be limited, there will be no revenue from ticket sales, and there will be no sponsors or paid PPV broadcasting due to a $7.7 billion agreement with Paramount. All these circumstances may hinder McGregor's return in the main event, especially considering the upcoming contract negotiations.
UFC President Dana White stated that the final decision on the fight cards at the White House will be made after UFC 324, and complete information about the scheduled fights is expected in the second week of February. Experts suggest that Conor may be reserved for another summer event that will have full ticket sales and sponsorship support.
While fans hope to see McGregor's return in 2026, his participation in the event at the White House remains in serious doubt.
