Sergio Ramos is ready to buy "Sevilla" and return to the club as an owner
Sergio Ramos, a legend of Spanish football, may become the owner of "Sevilla," the club where his professional career began. After concluding his contract with Mexican club "Monterrey," the defender reached a preliminary agreement with key shareholders to hold formal discussions regarding the purchase of the team, offering an amount of around 400 million euros.
If the deal is completed, it will be a significant event, as Ramos will return to "Sevilla," but as an owner, with the intention of ensuring the club's stable development in the long term. He has already represented the first team of "Sevilla" twice before signing with "Real Madrid," and then moving to PSG.
To successfully complete the deal, Ramos is collaborating with Argentine businessman Martin Inca, the CEO of Five Eleven Capital, who will provide the necessary financial resources to enhance the club's competitiveness in La Liga. Inca also has connections with the current sporting director of "Sevilla," Antonio Cordón, which may simplify the negotiation process.
Ramos is currently a free agent and will soon celebrate his 40th birthday. He is expected to announce the end of his playing career shortly to focus on his role as club owner and other projects, including work in the urban music sector.
