The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, at a recent event dedicated to the youth hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, announced plans to build a modern ice arena in the capital. In his speech, he noted that the city administration would actively work on the implementation of this significant project in the current year.

“We intend to identify a suitable plot of land and begin the construction of a new ice arena that will meet modern standards,” Junushaliev stated, emphasizing the importance of this initiative.

It is worth noting that the youth team of Kyrgyzstan achieved outstanding success, becoming the world champion in Group B of the third division and winning gold medals. This historic achievement has sparked discussions about the construction of a new ice arena that will contribute to the development of hockey in the country.
