The youth national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan became the world champion

The youth national hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, consisting of players under 20 years old, achieved significant success by winning gold medals at the World Championship in Group B of the third division.

According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the team demonstrated an excellent level of play and confidently won all five matches of the tournament.

During the championship, Kyrgyz hockey players secured victories over Hong Kong (4:1), South Africa (7:2), Iran (15:1), Luxembourg (5:3), and Mexico (7:4).

As a result, the Kyrgyzstan team accumulated 15 points and took first place, becoming the world champion in their group. This achievement grants the team the right to participate in the next season in Group A of the third division of the World Championship.

The silver medals were awarded to the Hong Kong team, while the bronze medals were won by the Mexican team.

The World Championship for youth teams (U-20) in Group B of the third division took place from January 18 to 24 at the "Bishkek Arena" ice rink.

Teams from Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Luxembourg, South Africa, Iran, and Hong Kong (China) participated in the competition.
