Namajunas also commented on the recent fight in which Valentina Shevchenko defeated Zhang Weili. She admitted that she expected Shevchenko to succeed, but anticipated a more intense battle. Namajunas believes that Weili's team may have underestimated the challenges associated with moving to the flyweight division, while Shevchenko demonstrated a high level of skill in this match.
Let us remind you that the 33-year-old Namajunas is ranked sixth in the UFC women's flyweight division. On January 24 and 25, she will face Natalia Silva, who is ranked second, at UFC 324.
