Dana White accelerated preparations for the historic UFC event at the White House
UFC President Dana White confirmed that preparations for the historic event, which will take place at the White House for the first time, will begin earlier than planned. Instead of February, as previously expected, work on the fight card will start immediately after the first UFC show in 2026, which will be held in January.
The event is scheduled for June 14 and has already gained the status of a "unique event." The main fight in January will be a bout for the interim lightweight title between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett. After the show concludes, regular matchmaking meetings will be expanded, and preparing for the White House event will become the primary focus. According to the new plans, most participants will be confirmed by mid-February, significantly ahead of the original timeline.
Additionally, White commented on rumors regarding potential fights at this event. In particular, a bout between Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal was discussed, which became relevant after the cancellation of the fight between McGregor and Michael Chandler. The UFC President dismissed these rumors, emphasizing that many discussions online lack real basis.
Thus, UFC fans' attention is focused on which fighters will participate in one of the most anticipated cards in the promotion's history. The early start of preparations will allow for thorough planning for the event and make it as spectacular as possible.
