Akjol Mahmudov is one of the most outstanding wrestlers in the history of Kyrgyzstan. He competes in the 77 kg category in Greco-Roman wrestling and is a two-time world champion, having won titles in 2022 and 2023. He also became a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games and a bronze medalist at the Paris Olympics.
