The Minister of Sports and head of the Olympic Committee of Russia, Mikhail Degtyarev, announced that the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which will take place in Italy from February 6 to 22, will be available for viewing on the streaming service Okko.

According to Degtyarev, users will be able to watch both the opening and closing ceremonies as well as all sporting events. “The broadcasts will be available both live and on demand, on any device,” he added.

It is important to note that viewing the Olympic Games will be free for all users.

This event will mark the first official broadcast of the Olympics in Russia since 2022. In 2024, Russian television did not air the Olympic Games, which happened for the first time in the last 40 years.
