Kazakhstani Athlete Enters Top 20 in World Cup Freestyle Skiing Stage



At the ongoing stage of the World Cup in ski acrobatics in Lake Placid, the Kazakhstan team was unable to reach the podium on the first day of the competition.

The best result among the Kazakh acrobats was shown by Sherzod Khashirbaev, who became the champion of the 2025 Asian Games in synchronized jumps. With a score of 87.07 points, he finished in 17th place, which allowed him to enter the top 20 participants.

Other athletes from Kazakhstan finished lower: Roman Ivanov placed 25th, Asylkhan Asan ended up 27th, Ulanbakir Umurzakov took the 30th position, and Dinmukhammad Rayimkulov completed the competition in 33rd place.

In the men's category, the victory was claimed by Chinese athlete Wang Xindi. The silver medal was won by Ukrainian Yan Havyryk, while the bronze went to Chinese competitor Qi Guangpu.

As for the women's competition, the best was Australian Daniella Scott. The silver medal was awarded to Chinese athlete Xu Mengtai, and the bronze went to American Kyla Koon. Kazakh athlete Ayana Zholdas was registered to participate but did not start.

On Monday in Lake Placid, men and women will again compete in individual events at the World Cup stage in ski acrobatics.
