The Kyrgyzstan national team is preparing for the World Cup in Bishkek

The national ice hockey team of Kyrgyzstan, composed of young athletes, continues its training in preparation for the World Championship, which will take place among teams made up of players no older than 20 years.

The competitions in Division 3B will be held from January 18 to 24 on the ice of the "Bishkek Arena." Six teams will participate in the tournament, competing in a round-robin format. The winner of this tournament will have the opportunity to compete in Division 3A next year.

Under the guidance of head coach Alexey Hakalo, the team began its preparation on January 1.

The extended squad includes 36 hockey players, but only 20 of them will be included in the final roster for the competition.

During the preparation process, the youth national team held friendly matches against the main national team of Kyrgyzstan.

At the previous World Championship, which took place in Thailand, the Kyrgyzstan team finished in second place.
