In the co-main event, Brazilian fighter Herdeson Batista, known for wearing a kalpak in every fight, will step into the ring. This time he will be fighting for the interim lightweight championship title against Russian athlete Daud Shaikhaev.
The weigh-in ceremony took place on January 8, where Batista appeared without his traditional headgear but with the flags of Brazil and Kyrgyzstan combined together.
