Former Spartak footballer Mukhsin Mukhamadiev has passed away
According to relatives of Mukhsin Mukhamadiev, the 60-year-old former Spartak footballer and sports director of Rubin has passed away. His condition deteriorated since November 15, 2025, when he was hospitalized in intensive care after suffering strokes.
Mukhsin Mukhamadiev was born on October 21, 1966, in Dushanbe. He began his sports career at the club "Pamir" and later continued it in Russia, playing for "Lokomotiv" (Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod), "Spartak" (Moscow), "Torpedo" (Moscow), "Shinnik" (Yaroslavl), as well as for the Turkish "Ankaragücü" and Vienna's "Austria".
In 1994, he became the champion of Russia as part of "Spartak". From 2008 to 2012, he served as the sports director of "Rubin", which during this period won the national championship title twice, as well as the Cup and Super Cup of Russia. As head coach, Mukhamadiev led "Istiqlol" to triumph in the Tajikistan championship twice.
Mukhsin Mukhamadiev left a significant mark in the history of football both in Russia and Tajikistan, establishing himself as a player, coach, and sports official.
