General Prosecutor Maksat Asanaliev presented the report on the work of the prosecutor's office for 2025 at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee. During the inspection of state and municipal facilities this year, 1,246 violations were identified.
According to the prosecutor, as a result of these violations, 690 prosecutorial acts were drawn up, leading to the initiation of 51 criminal cases and the filing of 180 lawsuits. As a result of the inspections, 282 employees were held accountable for disciplinary violations.
During his speech, Asanaliev emphasized that the state has recovered damages amounting to 23 billion 673 million soms, with particular attention paid to cases of illegal privatization of social facilities.
“If we look at the statistics, by 2023, over 11 years, the prosecutor's office was able to return 143 social facilities to the state balance, with a total value of 1 billion 170 million soms. In the last two years, this figure has reached 115 facilities, which were returned for over 5 billion soms. Currently, another 93 facilities are under consideration in the courts,” he added.
In addition, 72 social infrastructure facilities along with land plots have been returned to state ownership. Among them are 15 kindergartens, 14 schools, 15 hospitals, 7 cultural houses, 4 sports complexes, and 17 other facilities, with a total area of 36,209 square meters.
