A mosque will be built at the 'Manas' airport in a neo-futuristic style

At the international airport "Manas," the construction of a modern mosque, accommodating between 200 to 300 people, is planned. According to a statement from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, this information was announced during a meeting between Mufti Abdulaziz Kary Zakirov and Manasbek Samidinov, the chairman of the board of OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan."

During the meeting, key aspects of the project were discussed, including the architectural features of the future building, the construction schedule, and the conditions that will be created for the convenience of both passengers and worshippers. The Mufti emphasized that the airport management provides significant support in organizing Hajj and Umrah, which greatly improves conditions for pilgrims. For this, the management of "Manas" received positive feedback.

It should be noted that a large-scale reconstruction is currently underway at the "Manas" airport. As part of this project, the runway, taxiways, and airfield equipment are being updated, as well as the expansion of the terminal complex. It is expected that after the completion of all work in May of this year, the airport's capacity will increase threefold. There are also plans to build a new access road 1.6 km long and a covered parking lot for 650 vehicles.
