
According to the union, ten countries have submitted applications to participate so far: South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. The potential audience for this Asian "Eurovision" is expected to be around 600 million people.
Similar to the European contest, the selection of participants from each country will take place in the coming months through national selections. The final of the contest will be held on November 14 in Bangkok.
As for the European version of "Eurovision," it will take place in Vienna from May 12 to 16, 2026.
