According to the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, the audience warmly welcomed this epic production based on the work of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Arslan Koichiev, "Тагдыр жөнүндө ыр" ("Song of Fate"). Among the guests were the author and the Deputy Minister of Culture, Timurlan Azhymaliev.
Arslan Koichiev noted: "The play has become an epic reflection by director Ulanmyrza Karypbaev on Kyrgyz history. His works can be compared to the legacy of Chinghiz Aitmatov, as they have a strong influence on other artistic spheres. Thanks to such talents, a new era of revival of Kyrgyz culture begins."
"Бир келип кетчи Ош жакка" immerses the audience in the complex pages of Kyrgyz history, exploring the intertwining of human destinies and trials of different eras on a deep philosophical level. The play depicts aspects of life in a Kyrgyz village in the 1930s-40s, issues of ecology, the tragedies of repression, and World War II.
The next performance of the play will take place on March 31. As part of the theater week, Bishkek audiences will be able to see a number of other significant productions.
In addition, from March 29 to April 8, the international theater festival "Karypbaev Fest" is being held, dedicated to the work of Ulanmyrza Karypbaev.
