The Bishkek City Hall announced the stable operation of public transport

The city hall of Kyrgyzstan's capital has denied the information that 400 buses are not operating on routes.

According to the municipality, the actual number of buses that operate daily on the lines ranges from 1250 to 1300. Public transport continues to function normally, with partial shift work of buses. In addition, the fleet utilization rate reaches approximately 85%.

Currently, the process of documenting 95 new buses, which were purchased in November 2025, is underway. After completing all necessary procedures, these buses will be put into service, which will help improve the load of the existing fleet.

The information about 400 buses allegedly not operating on routes was disseminated by the organization Urban Hub Bishkek. The city hall urged media representatives to verify facts and contact the information policy department for current information.
