According to a study conducted by E. A. Bayyzbekova and published in the journal "Health Care of Kyrgyzstan," women with tuberculosis in Kyrgyzstan demonstrate higher treatment adherence rates compared to men.

The paper emphasizes that tuberculosis remains a serious public health issue, and adherence to prescribed treatment is critically important for successful recovery.

The study included 401 patients over the age of 18 who were undergoing outpatient treatment. The Morisky-Green test questionnaire was used to determine the level of adherence, and a statistical analysis was conducted.
