Today, at the meeting of the Bishkek City Council, Mayor Aybek Junushaliev announced that the House of Artists will remain city-owned.

He noted that the issue of transferring the land plot at 108 Chuy Avenue, where the House of Artists is located, has generated significant public interest. Due to the numerous proposals received, the city administration decided to remove this issue from the agenda.

“The House of Artists will remain in municipal ownership and will continue its activities,” emphasized Aybek Junushaliev.

Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov reported that the plot on Kyiv Street, 55, which was also mentioned in the draft decision for transfer to state ownership, remains under consideration by the deputies.

It was previously reported that the House of Artists in Bishkek was under threat of demolition. The municipal resolution has been challenged in court, and a hearing on the case is scheduled for April 16.
