According to Yuri Dmitrushchenko, the Deputy Chief Engineer for internal systems of the municipal enterprise "Bishkekteploset," 68.6% of the heating networks in the capital are in a state of physical wear. This figure has decreased by 4% compared to previous indicators, when the wear was 72.7%.

Dmitrushchenko stated on the air of "Birinchi Radio" that despite efforts to minimize damages, the issue of wear remains relevant. The heating season of 2025/2026 concluded successfully, lasting 143 days, while the planned norm is about 150 days. However, two major incidents occurred during the season: in February on the pipeline on 7 April Street and in March in microdistrict No. 6. Both damages were quickly localized and eliminated.
During the heating season of 2025/2026, 77 damages were recorded, which is 9 less than in the previous season (86), and significantly fewer than two years ago (109).
“The reduction in the number of damages has been made possible by the effective conduct of hydraulic tests, which allow for the early identification of weak points and their elimination before the start of the heating season,” noted the Chief Engineer. “Nevertheless, the overall number of damages continues to rise. In 2022, 237 damages were recorded, in 2023 — 378, and in 2024 — a record 448. In 2025, their number was 426,” added Yuri Dmitrushchenko.

It is also reported that from April 1 to May 10, hot water supply will be suspended in the capital for preventive and repair work.
