Azmat Toktonaliev warns youth and their parents about the risks
At a meeting with residents of the Oktobersky district, the head of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs, Azamat Toktonaliev, reported on potential problems that schoolchildren and students may face if they decide to sell or transfer their bank cards.
As Toktonaliev noted, the police have registered numerous cases where young people sell their cards for amounts ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 soms.
“Dear parents, before opening bank cards for your children, it is important to understand that transferring or selling cards to third parties is a criminal offense. Since the beginning of this year, 30 minors have already been held accountable,” he added.
It is worth noting that such actions are often carried out by so-called droppers and other criminals involved in fraudulent schemes.
