Adylbek Kasymaliev on Digital Kazakhstan: AI is Already Changing Kyrgyzstan

At the beginning of the forum, the heads of the EAEU governments and representatives from other countries familiarized themselves with an exhibition of digital technologies presented to improve the quality of life and protect nature.
Speaking at the plenary session, Kasymaliev noted that the world is rapidly changing due to technology, and Kyrgyzstan is already beginning to form a new economic foundation focused on high technologies. He reported that the export of residents of the High Technology Park accounts for about 1% of GDP, and by 2030 this figure should increase to 3%.
Kasymaliev also emphasized that artificial intelligence is already actively used in various fields such as medicine, education, public administration, and industry. The National Council on Artificial Intelligence operates in the country.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers highlighted the importance of implementing modern technologies for environmental tasks, such as monitoring tailings and water resources.
He paid special attention to the development of the Kyrgyz language in the digital space. Kyrgyzstan plans to create open language corpora and develop its own machine translation systems.
It was also proposed to consider the possibility of creating a digital financial hub for the post-Soviet space, launching credit mechanisms for IT and AI companies, as well as implementing tools for public investment in digital infrastructure.
During the forum, topics such as digital mining, cryptocurrency exchanges, cybersecurity, education, and innovation were discussed. Representatives from government bodies, businesses, IT companies, startups, and international experts participated in the event.
