Seventh Grader Translated Key Words of the C Programming Language from English to Kyrgyz
According to David, the goal of his work is to simplify the process of learning programming for schoolchildren who do not have a high level of English proficiency. Kyrgyz-C includes the translation of C language keywords while maintaining the original logic.
“Many children in our country do not have sufficient knowledge of English, and this creates difficulties in learning programming. I want every schoolchild to be able to master logic in their native language,” shared the young developer.
The basis of this adaptation is the use of a preprocessor that replaces English keywords with Kyrgyz ones. For example, "if" becomes "эгерде," "int" becomes "бүтүн," and "while" becomes "кайтала."
However, experienced programmers emphasize that knowledge of the English language remains extremely important and necessary, as most documentation and educational materials are available in this language. Additionally, proficiency in English increases job market opportunities.
