In Kyrgyzstan, 12 new fire and rescue stations will be built by July 1.
An important program for modernizing the infrastructure of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. As part of this project, 12 new fire and rescue units are being built across the country.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' press service, funding is provided from the republican budget. All new buildings will have 1 or 2 floors and will meet modern standards.
Previously, service workers were forced to perform their duties in old and cramped facilities that date back to the Soviet era. The implementation of this program will provide rescuers with more comfortable and safer working conditions. Since the beginning of 2021, thanks to the systematic support of President Sadyr Japarov, a policy aimed at creating decent conditions for employees has been actively pursued.
All 12 new facilities are planned to be put into operation by July 1, coinciding with Rescue Day.
Currently, there are 92 fire and rescue units operating in the country, and plans are also in place for the construction of 5 more new units in the near future.
