Local authorities in Orlovka were given 1 week to install road signs and markings.
Turmush reported that on March 26, a meeting of representatives from government structures and local self-government with residents of the eastern part of the Chui region (including Kemin, Chui, Issyk-Ata, and Alamedin districts) is taking place in Tokmok. This event is organized at the direction of President Sadyr Japarov with the aim of quickly addressing citizens' problems.
As Kabaeva noted, many residents reach out to the authorities through social networks, but their requests often go unanswered. One of the serious issues is the lack of a traffic light at the entrance to Orlovka from the village of Zhany-Alysh.
On the Bishkek—Naryn—Torugart highway, there is intense and fast-moving traffic, which creates serious difficulties for people and livestock crossing the road. Additionally, new asphalt has been laid on some streets in Orlovka, but there are no road signs or markings. The installed "speed bumps" are not accompanied by warning signs, posing a danger to drivers who are unfamiliar with the area.
There are four intersections in the city, but only one of them has a "intersection" sign. The other intersections lack signs, which is especially dangerous at night due to sharp turns. "We ask you to consider these issues," Deputy Kabaeva appealed to the authorities.
The head of the Chui Regional Department of Internal Affairs, Kanybek Abdyrahmanov, set a one-week deadline to address the mentioned problems. "I give a week to the head of the Department of Internal Affairs. If the signs are not installed within this timeframe, measures will be taken. Discuss this issue together with the akim and the mayor," he stated.
