A plant will be built on the territory of the former landfill in Osh, which will focus on converting waste into electricity. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.

It is expected that the new facility will be able to process up to 800 tons of waste per month, producing about 30 megawatts of electricity.

As noted by press secretary Zhyldyzbek Bolotbekov, the plant will be provided with 600 tons of waste each month from the city, while the remaining 200 tons are planned to be collected from neighboring settlements.

Trees will be planted on the reclaimed landfill area. The city hall emphasizes that residents should not worry about the plant's operations: the waste incineration technology used does not involve the emission of harmful substances, which eliminates the appearance of unpleasant odors and black smoke.
