The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, inspected the first stage of work on the improvement of the area located along the Big Chui Canal, which runs from the Young Guard Boulevard to Elebaev Street, as reported on the official website of the city administration.
As part of the first stage, it is planned to clear the land of reeds and shrubs, carry out sanitary pruning of trees along the canal, as well as dismantle illegal structures. More than 10 units of specialized equipment and about 30 workers from the enterprise are involved in these works.
The second stage includes bank reinforcement works and an assessment of the possibility of laying a road, while the third stage involves the construction of a waterfront. Relevant services have been instructed to take measures regarding objects that violate the water protection zone.
The implementation of this project is aimed at improving the environmental situation in the area, creating a comfortable space for residents to relax, and enhancing safety in the adjacent territory.
