In the Alai district of the Osh region, in the city of Gulcho, a large project is planned aimed at constructing a sewage system and modernizing the drinking water supply system. This information was announced by Mayor Nursultan Tajibaev.

Tajibaev noted that the funding will be provided by the World Bank on grant terms, which implies no costs for the city budget.

The project includes a complete renovation of 55 kilometers of the water supply network, the creation of a new sewage system, and the construction of treatment facilities, with an estimated cost of about 600 million soms.

Construction is planned to begin in the fall of 2026 or in the spring of the following year. The new sewage system will cover the central areas of the city, including Kurmanjan-Datka, where the construction of multi-story residential complexes is planned in the future.
