In Batken, an overpass is being built from Min-Oruk to Samarkandek to bypass Tajik villages.
According to "Azattyk," the overpass will be located at a height of 16 meters and will bypass the Tajik village of Chorku. Previously, local residents were forced to use long detour routes due to unresolved border issues. With the introduction of the overpass, the distance between settlements will be reduced by 15 kilometers.
The project is funded by the state budget, and its completion is planned in three years. The overpass will be over 3 kilometers long and 40 meters wide, ensuring high capacity and reliability of transport connections in the region.
Simultaneously with the Kyrgyz project, Tajikistan has begun construction of a road that will connect the Vorukh enclave with the city of Isfara, bypassing the Kyrgyz village of Ak-Sai. These works became possible due to agreements reached during the delimitation and demarcation of borders.
It should be noted that the process of clarifying the borders between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan has been completed. In March 2025, the presidents of the two countries signed the final agreement on the state border.
