In the Manas District, work has begun on cleaning the channels before the irrigation season.
According to information from the agency, these activities are being carried out to prepare for the irrigation season of the current year. In this context, a comprehensive set of works is being implemented in the district aimed at improving the irrigation infrastructure. The main priority is to ensure farmers have stable access to irrigation water during the irrigation season.
Currently, restoration work is actively underway on a 210-meter section of the Saza canal. In particular, damaged sections are being restored, and measures are being taken to increase the canal's capacity. These actions will help reduce water losses and improve its usage.
Additionally, large-scale work is being conducted to clean internal farm ditches and canals. Over time, ditches clogged with silt, stones, and other obstacles are being cleared to ensure the free flow of water, which will allow for more timely delivery of irrigation water to the fields.
The relevant services and local residents, who are actively participating in these works, have been involved in the canal cleaning, the administration added.
