From March 24 to 26, 2026, a Bootcamp for youth was held in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at developing media literacy, civic engagement, and creativity among school students and youth. This was reported by the event organizers.
The project "Strong Youth - Strong Country!" is implemented by UNICEF with financial support from the European Union. The Community Media Association acted as the executor, while the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic became a partner in its implementation.
During the three days, participants took part in educational and practical sessions, where they studied relevant topics such as civic participation, gender equality, and inclusion, as well as climate change issues.

The program included interactive quizzes, practical tasks, workshops, and meetings with representatives from international organizations, government authorities, and parliament. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions to representatives from UNICEF, the European Union, as well as ministries and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.

At the end of the Bootcamp, participants received certificates and learned about an upcoming mentoring program aimed at supporting school media centers.

This initiative aims to support active and responsible youth who are media literate and capable of contributing to the development of society and the country.
