In 2025, 5,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left the country through the Employment Center, while 19,500 used the services of private employment agencies. This information was announced by Esenbek Ergeshov, head of the labor migration department of the Center, on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

According to the International Organization for Migration, a total of 170,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left for abroad in 2025.

“Our center and private employment agencies helped to employ a total of 25,000 people, which accounts for 15 percent of the total number of those leaving. The remaining 85 percent go abroad independently or through acquaintances, which sometimes leads to difficult situations, exploitation, or even human trafficking. Using secure channels for departure allows for better protection of workers' rights and monitoring of their activities until their return home,” Ergeshov emphasized.

He also noted that in recent years, the number of people leaving for work has decreased.

“Five years ago, about 1 million citizens left the country every year for employment. Many of them returned as the socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan improved and salaries increased. While previously the country only exported labor, now we have started to accept foreign workers. Just five years ago, up to 10,000 people were employed through our center and private agencies, which was only 1 percent of the million leaving; now citizens are better informed about legal employment methods and are more protected,” he added.

The Employment Center for Citizens Abroad provides consultations on employment issues and conducts pre-departure training, informing about the legislation of destination countries, cultural features, and rules of conduct.
