
The Italian authorities and businesses see Central Asia as a promising platform for investment and technological interaction.
An international business forum on agro-innovations titled "Innovations, Regenerative Agriculture, and Digitalization for Sustainable Agroecosystems" (Italy – Central Asia + Azerbaijan Business Forum) is taking place in Tashkent. As part of this event, the Italian delegation confirmed its intentions to expand economic and technological cooperation with Central Asia.
According to one of the speakers, the goal of the forum is to strengthen partnership relations between the countries. About 400 entrepreneurs are participating in the event, which confirms the growing interest in the region from the business sector.
Italy views Central Asia as a strategically important region for investment and expanding trade ties. According to data from previous meetings, imports from the region have increased by more than 72%.
Key areas of cooperation include sustainable agricultural development, processing of agricultural products, implementation of new technologies, digitalization, and increasing export potential.
Particular attention is paid to scientific research and innovations, including modern agro-technologies, land reclamation, and irrigation. The importance of experience exchange and the implementation of advanced global practices is also emphasized.
An important aspect is the "Made in Italy" brand, which the Italian side is ready to actively promote by sharing expertise in production and quality assurance.
Italian representatives expressed their readiness to support investments and create conditions for interaction between businesses, including the participation of relevant organizations, chambers of commerce, and exhibitions.
They believe that the development of such cooperation will contribute not only to economic growth but also to strengthening ties between countries in various fields.
At the conclusion of the forum, it was emphasized that the implementation of modern technologies and deepening cooperation will help improve the efficiency of agriculture and the quality of products.
