Director of "Khan-Teniri," Bakyt Ibraimov, confirmed that three gasoline off-road vehicles are used on the premises, and they serve strictly official functions.
The main reason for their use is the ongoing construction in "Khan-Teniri," where new facilities are being built, including a five-star hotel and other infrastructure. According to Ibraimov, regular cars cannot handle the task of delivering construction materials and equipment to mountainous areas due to narrow roads and the risk of landslides.
Problems with Electric Vehicles
Ibraimov explained that in rainy weather, the road becomes impassable: "Electric vehicles cannot pass in clear weather, let alone in the rain. Trucks are also not suitable for these conditions. The SUVs are used exclusively for delivering construction materials and necessary items for the maintenance of the complex, such as rags and soap," he added, emphasizing that these vehicles are not intended for tourist trips.Use in Emergency Situations
Additionally, the SUVs are used in emergency situations. The cable car operates from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and if someone needs to descend after the cable car closes due to health reasons, they are transported by the SUVs.Recently, according to Ibraimov, they transported a pregnant woman down in an SUV at night due to necessity.
Operating Schedule of the Cable Car
The cable car operates daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except on Mondays when it is closed for maintenance.New Facilities on the Premises
Upon arrival at the cable car, a picturesque view of the mountains opens up. In "Khan-Teniri," barnhouses are already in operation, with prices reduced from $350 to $250 as of March 21. For guests staying in barnhouses, the cable car ride is free and without a queue.Construction is also underway for a five-star hotel and restroom, which is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2026. "We plan to install a glass terrace for a photo zone, with a glass floor that will allow for unique photographs against the backdrop of the mountains. If the weather is favorable, we hope to complete this facility by the May holidays," the director added.
Increase in Visitors
With the arrival of warm weather, the flow of tourists to "Ala-Archa" has significantly increased. On March 20, there was considerable traffic on the road to the park, as many guests were heading to the cable car. An even larger influx is expected during the May holidays — up to five to six thousand people per day.Ibraimov noted that due to ongoing construction, the number of SUVs may be temporarily increased if necessary. This is related to the volume of work and the need to ensure the safety of the growing flow of visitors. All activities of the center are aimed at maintaining the complex and the comfort of guests.
