As part of the new project, after successfully completing courses at a driving school and passing exams, citizens will be able to receive their driver's license within four working days. There is also a provision for expedited issuance: within three hours, one day, or two days.
The document establishes specific time frames for all stages of providing the service: document acceptance considering the queue — 30 minutes, result processing — 60 minutes, issuance of licenses — 30 minutes.
For users who are re-registering vehicles online, the service will be available within 10 minutes.
Those applying through consulates and diplomatic missions will need up to 90 days.
Currently, the document is under discussion and will be submitted for consideration to the relevant government authorities on April 10. The cost of services is still being coordinated with the Antimonopoly Service.
As stated in the explanatory note, the main goal of this reform is to improve the quality of government services, reduce waiting times, and make the process of obtaining driver's licenses more convenient for citizens and foreign residents.
