According to information provided by the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the tremors were recorded at 11:30. The epicenter was located 18 km southwest of the village of Ak-Suu, 20 km southwest of the village of Kommun, and 28 km southwest of the city of Razakova in Tajikistan.
