In Bishkek, a significant eco-event will take place in honor of the Nowruz holiday. The "Sumölök Fest" festival is organized by the Public Association "Resource Center for the Elderly" as part of the "Zhasyl Konushtar" and "Araket" programs with the support of MTU No. 109. The event will be held on March 21 at 10:30 at the new sports ground located in the Ak-Ordo residential area, at the intersection of Gagarin and Imanaliev streets. The main goal of the festival is to collectively care for nature, revive national traditions, and strengthen good neighborly relations.
The program of the event includes both ecological and cultural initiatives. The main event will be an eco-saturday, during which participants will clean public spaces and prepare them for the spring season. At this time, a themed fair will take place on the site, where city residents can purchase seedlings for greening their yards and participate in a charitable exchange. Everyone is welcome to bring clean items, clothing, or books to donate to those in need or to exchange, as well as to make voluntary donations.
After the landscaping work is completed, festival guests will be treated to a traditional spring dish - sümölök. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by engaging national games, in which both adults and children can participate. The organizers invite all residents and guests of the capital to join the festival, bringing along good spirits and items for exchange, to help make the city cleaner and life in new buildings brighter and more comfortable.
