The director of the Phthisiatry Center spoke about the situation with tuberculosis in Kyrgyzstan
According to him, the situation remains tense, as key indicators of morbidity remain at a high level.
Preliminary data for 2025 shows that the incidence rate is 52.1 cases per 100,000 people, while the mortality rate is 2.1 cases per 100,000.
Kadyrov noted that the highest rates of morbidity and mortality were recorded in 2001, when the incidence reached 168 cases per 100,000 population, and mortality was 27 cases per 100,000.
He also added that compared to 2001, the incidence of tuberculosis has been reduced by almost three times. Since 1996, five tuberculosis control programs have been implemented in the country.
It is also worth noting that a case of tuberculosis has been identified in a serviceman at the Department of Protection and Escort of the State Penitentiary Service.
