
The program's opening is scheduled for March 24 at 16:00 at the Russian House in Bishkek. On this day, a creative evening titled "Night, Street, Lantern..." will take place, during which poems by Alexander Blok will be read by participants of the literary club "Жаңы толкун" ("New Wave") in Kyrgyz and Russian languages. An important part of the program will be dedicated to the legacy of Mikhail Bulgakov, whose 135th birthday and 60th anniversary of the first publication of the novel "Master and Margarita" will be celebrated this year. On March 26 at 16:00, a screening of the documentary film "Running from Fate" will take place at the Russian House, which presents a deep dialogue between writer Alexei Varlamov and Bulgakov in the setting of his "unpleasant apartment." The program will conclude with the opening of the exhibition "The Fantastic World of Mikhail Bulgakov," which will take place on March 27 at 17:00 at the Ch. Aitmatov State National Russian Drama Theater. Visitors can expect archival photographs, rare documents, and theatrical posters. A separate section of the exhibition will present parallels between the novels "Master and Margarita" and "Plakha" by Chinghiz Aitmatov. Anna Esparsa will conduct a theatrical tour and hold a prize draw among literature enthusiasts. Admission to the exhibition is free, and immediately after it, at 18:00, the theater will host a performance of "Master and Margarita," tickets for which can be purchased on the Ticket.kg website.
In addition to cultural events, Anna Esparsa will visit leading humanitarian universities in Bishkek and Osh, where she will present the project "School of Young Translators." The events are organized by the ANO "Translation Institute" with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan. Anna Esparsa is a Doctor of Historical Sciences and the author of the well-known lecture series "Dostoevsky." Previously, she successfully presented projects dedicated to Pushkin, Yesenin, and Lermontov in the republic, attracting youth and lovers of classical literature.
