The search for the Russian climber on Peak Pobeda is estimated at $2–3 million

According to Alexander Pyatnitsin, Vice President of the Russian Mountaineering Federation, the operation to search for climber Natalia Nagovitsina, who went missing in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, will cost between two and three million dollars, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Nagovitsina was injured on August 12 while descending from Peak Pobeda — the highest peak of the Tien Shan, located at an altitude of about 7,200 meters. Attempts by other climbers to rescue her were unsuccessful due to adverse weather conditions, and one rescuer died from hypothermia. As a result, Nagovitsina remained at altitude with a damaged tent, sleeping bag, and limited supplies of food and water. It was previously reported that the Mountaineering Federation does not plan to resume the search operation.

Pyatnitsin noted that the chances of a successful completion of the operation are extremely low: "This search operation costs between two and three million dollars. Perhaps, if some relatives want to take the risk, it could become possible... However, the likelihood of dying during this operation is very high."
