100 Explosions Conducted on the Balikchy - Kochkor Railway
These works took place on March 17 in the Kochkor area and covered sections from the 37th to the 43rd kilometer. Throughout the project, a total of 100 blasts were carried out, starting with the first one in July 2024.
Company representatives noted that all operations were conducted in compliance with high safety standards, and no cases of injury to people or animals, as well as damage to nearby objects, including residential houses and cafes, were recorded.
During the blasting works, roads in the section from the 37th to the 39th kilometer were temporarily closed.
“Kyrgyz Temir Zholu” emphasized that the blasting works are an important stage in the project, which has allowed for successfully dealing with challenging geological conditions.
The length of the Balykchy — Kochkor railway is 63.4 kilometers, and the formation of the embankment has already been completed over a significant part of the route. Construction work is currently ongoing, including the active construction of the "Kochkor" station.
