"Young Talents": The Artist with Special Hands, Khudayma Nishanbay kyzy from Leilek, Paints the Walls of Kindergartens and Buildings in Bishkek
She was born with an anomaly in both hands, but this does not prevent her from turning her dream into reality. A correspondent from Turmush spoke with her.
Khudayma dreams of becoming a famous artist and works hard to achieve this, constantly honing her skills. She is currently studying at the art academy, where she continues to develop her talent.
“Since childhood, I have loved to draw very much. I dream of becoming a renowned artist with a global name. I became passionate about drawing at the age of 14, and now I am 22 years old. I study at the Kyrgyz State Art Academy named after Turgunbai Sadykov.
In our family, there are five children: four sisters and one brother. I think this talent was passed down to me from my father. Like me, my sister and brother can also draw.
So far, I have not had a personal exhibition. But I have already received invitations to various exhibitions. Just recently, I was invited to the city of Osh for the international plein air for artists “Sunny Palette of the East.” I really enjoyed this event. There, we worked outdoors and painted pictures,” she said.
According to Khudayma, she particularly enjoys landscapes and sketches: “When I look at them, my mood changes. Probably, every artist has a work they especially admire and aspire to. I feel a close connection to the works of Vincent van Gogh. I am especially fascinated by the colors in his paintings and his unusual painting technique.
Our works can be seen in kindergartens, children's play areas, and private institutions. We often receive offers and orders — we go out and paint walls. This is very inspiring because people appreciate our work. And my hands are, in essence, a miracle of the Creator. Although they may not look like the hands of other people, they are just as comfortable for me. When I draw or engage in other work, I do not experience any difficulties,” she said.
Khudayma is currently studying at the art academy in the city of Bishkek.
