In his message on X, he noted that despite the withdrawal from WHO, Argentina will continue to develop international cooperation in the field of health, based on bilateral agreements and regional forums, while maintaining its sovereignty and the right to make decisions in sanitary policy.
It is worth recalling that a year ago, the Argentine leadership notified UN Secretary-General António Guterres of its intention to withdraw from WHO. President Javier Milei explained this step as a disagreement with the organization's actions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It should be noted that a similar decision was also made by the administration of the United States earlier.
