In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a round table titled "Green Entrepreneur" was held, where the implementation of reverse vending machines with a bonus system for collecting PET bottles and aluminum containers was discussed. The main topic of the meeting was the cooperation between business and the government in tackling the issue of plastic waste.
The Ministry of Ecology proposed to place reverse vending machines in key locations such as retail chains, markets, gas stations, food courts, and educational institutions, which will help foster a habit of waste separation among citizens.
Additionally, the participants of the meeting discussed preparations for the implementation of the new KR Law "On the Restriction of the Circulation of Polymer Film Bags and Plastic Products."

According to Deputy Minister Jenish Seydaliev, "plastic pollution is a global problem; however, with innovative solutions and partnerships, Kyrgyzstan can take a leading position in Central Asia in the field of ecology." The Ministry also intends to launch a state brand "Green Entrepreneur," which will enhance the ESG rating among companies and highlight those that are already demonstrating high environmental responsibility and implementing principles of the circular economy.
As a result of the round table, a decision was made to implement joint pilot projects, and the parties confirmed their readiness for long-term cooperation aimed at reducing the plastic footprint and achieving zero pollution in Kyrgyzstan.
Among the participants in the discussion were the First Deputy Minister Jenish Seydaliev, leading companies in the domestic market, and major retailers such as LLC "Shoro," LLC "Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers," LLC "Asia Retail," LLC "Umai Group," LLC "Partner Oil," and polymer recycling enterprises.
