“This is a dead-end situation. Builders have not received payment for completed work, many projects are frozen, and the pace of construction has significantly dropped. Some entrepreneurs have been forced to invest their own funds to continue working. We arrived in Osh on the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov to assess the situation on the ground. We conducted an analysis and found that there are more than 30 sites, none of which have project and cost documentation, and contracts with contractors have not been signed. All work began based on verbal agreements,” the minister noted.
He also added that the collected data will be sent to the relevant organizations for further consideration.
It was previously reported that the city administration has a debt of 12 billion soms to contractors. Zhenishbek Toktorbaev confirmed the existence of debts but noted that the amount is significantly lower.
