From March 9 to 15, Kyrgyzstan registered 6,423 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza, as reported by 24.kg citing the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

Experts noted that compared to the previous week, the incidence rate decreased by 2.3 percent.

Children under 14 years old make up 66.4 percent of the total number of cases, which amounts to 4.3 thousand cases.

In Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmok, monitoring of severe acute respiratory infections and influenza-like illnesses continues.

Medical professionals strongly recommend adhering to preventive measures, avoiding crowded places, and not self-medicating, but rather consulting clinics at the place of residence at the first signs of symptoms.
