Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 592 Kyrgyz citizens evacuated from Middle Eastern countries
On March 14, 142 Kyrgyz citizens returned home thanks to the fourth special flight, which was carried out from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. Another 24 people were able to return via Istanbul with the help of the ministry.
After the situation deteriorated in several Middle Eastern countries, where about 22,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were located, President Sadyr Japarov issued instructions to ensure their safety and organize evacuation.
In the context of instability in the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conducted extensive work to inform citizens about the situation, ensure their safety, and organize their evacuation from dangerous areas.
A total of five special flights were carried out, resulting in the return of 592 people from Riyadh, Dubai, as well as Kuwait and Bahrain.
Additionally, over 3,000 Kyrgyz citizens returned independently using regular flights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged citizens still in Middle Eastern countries to consider the possibility of returning home as soon as possible and to refrain from traveling to this region until the situation stabilizes.
The main transit points for flights to Kyrgyzstan remain Riyadh and Jeddah. It is possible to reach Saudi Arabia by ground transportation or regional flights, after which flights to Bishkek are available from Flydubai, Pegasus Airlines, Flynas, Turkish Airlines, and other airlines.
The ministry emphasizes that the safety and protection of the rights of citizens of Kyrgyzstan are a priority of state policy.
