The market value of land on the outskirts of Bishkek designated for the KRSU has become known.
Deputy Seid Atambaev expressed concern about whether the implementation of the project would become a financial burden for the country's budget and whether the area allocated for construction is too large.
Bekbosun Borubashev clarified that 30 hectares have been allocated, although the actual area may be slightly smaller. "The market value of this land is approximately $30 million. It is difficult to assess whether this is a lot or a little, as much depends on the level of the campus. The territory is planned to include a swimming pool, sports grounds, dormitories, housing for 3,000 staff members, academic buildings, reading and lecture halls, as well as assembly halls. The approved project also includes a school on this territory. Compared to the 85 hectares allocated for the Kyrgyz-Turkish University 'Manas', the 30 hectares allocated here seem quite reasonable. I am confident that this facility will bring significant benefits in the future," added the deputy minister.
